I took my 12 year old son out on the boat with Richard. He was fantastic teaching him different techniques and showed a ton of patience with both of us. He is extremely knowledgeable of the area and lakes and only cared about ensuring we had a good time. We both had a blast and will definitely book another trip next time we visit!

We have been out with Rich twice now. Once in November and once in March. 2 different stages of bass cycle and we each caught a bass both times. My wife got 2 today. He is very knowledgeable about different parts of the lakes and has many different baits to try. He can teach you how to use your equipment better or let you borrow some of his setups to test out.
He is also a very patient and effective teacher. I have been fishing my entire life and still learned countless tips and tricks from him that I never knew.
Highly recommend a charter with him to anyone who wants to enjoy a day on the lake and learn a ton along the way!!!
Capt. Rich is a fantastic bass fishing guide. He explained things very well for us to learn and improve our technique, and his passion is contagious. A day on the water with Rich is fun, relaxing, and reinvigorating, true to the Still Waters name. We plan to fish with Rich again when back in Virginia Beach and recommend it to anyone no matter their level of experience.
