So far the only bite I've been able to find consistently is when the sun has reached it's peak and the heat of the day is setting in. I've been using a jerk bait because I hate throwing it and I'm trying to grow in that area. I've also had some success with a white Jack hammer in the lily pad areas now that they're fish-able. I plan to start using a DT 6 in Helsinki shad color and a square bill around wood doing some speed cranking. I've also been coming flats with a red eye lip less crank bait. I haven't had any luck with the lip less yet but I feel like it's just a matter of time till that kicks in around those transition areas around the shallows. Godspeed, Brothers and Sisters!
